The combination of preliminary qualitative research followed by quantitative is relatively common
But how often does it happen that:
	- a quantitative study delivers results which are not distinctive enough, that a decision on the basis of the results cannot be reached 
- you wish to know more about the motives behind the consumer’s evaluation of a product, his attitudes, his perception 
- you would like to dig deeper into specific questions
